Based in New York City, the all-woman Aizuri Quartet has received several prestigious awards as well as a 2019 GRAMMY nomination for their debut album, Blueprinting. The Quartet draws its name from “aizuri-e,” a style of predominantly blue Japanese woodblock printing noted for vibrancy and intricate detail for which the quartet’s playing is also known.

Concerts are Tuesday nights and begin at 7.30 p.m. in the second floor Ballroom of Julia Morgan's gorgeous Berkeley City Club, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 2315 Durant Avenue, Berkeley.
